De introductie was oorspronkelijk pas in maart 2018 gepland, maar doordat de vissen zo voorspoedig groeiden, werd de vis al op 17 oktober door initiatiefnemers; Ohad Maiman, Kees Kloet en Hans de Bieman, op de markt gebracht.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tonijn<br \/>\n<\/strong>Pacific Yellowtail Kingfish (Kingfish \/ Hiramasa \/ Seriola Lalandi) is qua bite te vergelijken met tonijn. De vis heeft een zachte smaak en geen extreme vissmaak. De kleur van de filets is lichtroze tot wit. \u201cJe moet hem ook echt behandelen als tonijn\u201d, aldus Mart Scherp, ambassadeur van Yellow Tail King fish en eigenaar van restaurant Scherp in Middelburg. \u201dDe vis is heel geschikt voor rauwe bereidingen als sashimi of ceviche, of voor op de grill.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Zeekweek<\/strong><br \/>\nYellowtail Kingfish wordt vooral gekweekt in kooien in de Atlantische oceaan bij Japan en Australi\u00eb, waar ze met allerlei ziektekiemen in contact kunnen komen. In de Zeeuwse kweekbassins is dat niet mogelijk. De vissen leven in met zonne- en windenergie verwarmd Oosterscheldewater, dat drie keer per dag volledig wordt ververst. Het afval water wordt ook eerst gezuiverd voor het weer de Oosterschelde in stroomt.<\/p>\n<p>Yellowtail Kingfish is een prima alternatief voor bedreigde blauwvintonijn of zwaardvis en wordt duurzaam geproduceerd \u2013 zonder chemicali\u00ebn, antibiotica of vaccins, met 100 procent groene energie en de hoogste kwaliteit biologische, niet genetisch gemanipuleerde voeding, aldus het persbericht van de kwekerij.
